Herschel's Garnet Star (mu Ceph), 24-Sep-2014 Scope: Orion 200mm Astrograph, f/4 Mount: HEQ5 Guiding: KWIQ/QHY5 / PHD Imaging Camera: Atik 383L+ Frames: 3x15m Ha, 4x10m Ha, 5x5m G, 3x5m B Total Exposure: 2h5m Processing: PixInsight Distance: 4300-9300 ly (mu Ceph), 2400 ly (IC 1396) Astrobin link   The nebulosity is the edge of IC1396, the same nebula that contains the Elephant Trunk Nebula).
